Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) is an American actress. in the television and film industry, she's known for her many awards and nominations. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt after being born in New York New York, is a well-known actor. As Bassett was about five the family were moved into St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived with their mother who was divorced from their father. Bassett when she was in high school was a fan of John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a master's of African American studies in 1980.
